robot 3
the one that got finished-

he’s about 24 inches long. Wool and brass washers with button ears.

Flopped over. This robot was inspired by the Tin Man from Oz and also by Hil’s post about Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. Geesh, I still haven’t seen that movie…

This robot is much more of a doll then the other 2 robots, which are more like pillows. He is embellished with brass washers and I also used the washers for his shoulder, hip, knee and ankle joints.

He looks so discerning… Almost as though he could pick the proper wine for dinner while proving the Riemann hypothesis. Tres chic.

He’s my favorite of the series thus far. I love his purple color with the brass embellishments. And I love how jointed he is. Really lovely!

Fantastic! I thought of the Tin Man right away. “Corpse Bride” looks amazing, but the music is pretty bad. Turn the sound down really low and you’ll love it!

He’s fantastic. I love the colors and the use of the brass washers. It’s nice to make dolls that can sit or stand too. Mine always lie on their backs, poor things!

[...] I worked and reworked the legs. I am still not 100% satisfied with how they hang. So I might be reworking them again- if I can think of what to do. It is a common problem for me- the doll looks fine/right when it is sitting, but the legs twist into an odd position when they are in a standing position… which they normally wouldn’t be in because they can’t stand on their own. hmm. He is basically the same pattern as Robot #3. [...]
