postcards
I saw a post on In a Minute Ago about a postcard show here in New Haven, Connecticut. Well, that is where I grew up and I’ve been thinking that I wanted to make some fabric postcards- bigger area then the atc’s- and so I had to join in. It is funny to me that I read an Australian blog to find out about a show in the next state- small world.
These are the 2 I will send down to New Haven tomorrow morning-

this one is going to my niece who is going to be in the hospital for a few weeks-

I am going to put these others into my etsy shop-

except this one- I sewed too much on it and the edges got all wonky-

I made one other but it is a surprise for someone. I will post it once they’ve got it.

All your projects are lovely. I like the postcards very much. You are on the roll as always! I am not so productive lately. I have a project going about which I am not allowed to talk. I wish I could as thats the only one I am doing at the moment. Not able to start anything else at the moment. I guess I will get over it at some point. Very frustrating.

I really like them all, but my favorite is the flowers with faces. I love that fabric with the houses and trees! Where did you find it? I’ll be it’s vintage.

They’re all beautiful, but I especially like the embellishment on the top one and the “breathe” card. The wonky one is great, too.

i love the wonky one the best! i think that it just adds to the sense of mystery of this one. often a little wonkiness is a good thing.

I love these - they feel as if they might tell a story as if some hidden but charming narrative is there

Thank you for the postcard you sent Bethany! It is in her “take to the hospital” pile next to her bedroom door. Knowing people are thinking about her and wishing her well really lifts her spirits - and having a beautiful handmade treasure to admire while we’re away from home reminds us how lucky we are to have such a wonderful family.
