Poppy- girl doll #4

This is Poppy, my girl #4. She is also 19″ tall. She is wool- her pink body fabric is wool crepe, her flesh tone fabric is cashmere. Her hair is from knit wool sweater.

She is decorated with wool cut-outs.

Here is the back view of her hair-

This was the doll where I figured out the hair. It is a 2 piece pattern with a dart. I am very pleased- it is flexible enough that once I figured it out, I was able to use the same pattern for the rest of the dolls. And have slightly different hair-dos.

Your dolls are all be dressed exquisitely! I especially like the redhead with the purple and green - reminds me of my daughter. Also, just listened to part one of your interview. You know how you get a visual of someone? After hearing you, I just know I was WAY off! Anyway, it was fascinating to listen to your story of the paths you took before you arrived at your passion.

Oh Mimi she’s so sweet looking! I really like the little floral decorations. They add that little something extra that makes them complete.

flesh tone, cashmere…love that (i know it says fabric, but i read it wrong the first time) i want cashmere fleshtone, that is the box i will check on the next census even though my fleshtone is tulle or perhaps linen on my more serene days…
she’s gorgeous!
