Here is part 2 of the interview from September 2006.
Part one is here.
It must be spring in New England- I have a daffodil that is just about to bloom… and the forecast says snow later in the week!

That was just delightful. Almost as good as being there.
The part about it keeping you sane resonated particularly. Although the circumstances of our stress may differ, I completely related to the idea of work as a lifeline. Without it at the moment, I really feel I wouldn’t be able to manage. But when I’m working, no one can touch me.
Ditto about marketing of work. Bugger that. But a blog, that I can handle. Blogging is fun. It’s on my own terms.
Mimi Speaks!
Is there more?
I hope so. That really was fun.
Ah, the tyranny of distance. It’s the Australian Condition.

Yes, MOre! I forget; will there be more? I totally relate to the forget the trying to please part –I just wanna do my thing. I say this as I struggle to leave my other career behind–but I think I am. And it feels wierd at the same time it feels good.
I love the informality of blogging too–much less stuffy I say! But most of my friends and people I know in real life do not blog; do not read my blog, do not wish to even hear how important it is to me. They don’t know what they are missing!
And therapy? oh yeah, art is therapy ~~ you know I know that.
;-)
talk on!!!
