And you've made me suddenly remember a "quilt" my daughter made for me when she was about 13 (it's a patchwork blanket, with a solid back, but not actually quilted). I don't use it much anymore, and it's packed away--I think I'll get it out and use it again. The wonderful thing about it is that it's about 3 feet wide and about 8 feet long, and also that it's made from leftovers from a bunch of different project and old clothes.
