tweek 2

and now a dachshund.

He is a challenge to photograph!

He’s got a soft cashmere nose and ears. And a wired tail.

Okay, I tried a bow on her- what do we think? I’m not entirely sold.

And this was yesterday afternoon, pre-bow. Mango was supervising the photo shoot.

And the tails!

  1. i think the bow works! as it matches the ruffled tutu and all. they are both such characters! but what to do about the dark on dark stitching?

and cashmere nose and ears? what a luxury…just like the real dog, soft and cuddly.

  2. I love the tails! But I’m not loving the bow. Maybe a pretty ribbon tied to one or both ear(s)? Like pig tails.

  3. I also am not loving the bow. In my humble opinion it is too big and too matchy-matchy. This sure seems strange–to be making a comment about what I DON’T like about your work!! Usually I LOVE everything!!

  4. Thanks everybody so far- I will keep playing. This pug just might be showing up every day this week!

  5. okay, i LOVE the bow! It’s very Pugish to me! My only feedback would be the arms on the Dascund. Dascund have such short little legs and I think that’s their charm, it makes their little bodies look so long.

    Love the dogs Mimi!

  6. I love these, too! Really fun! How about a different kind of accessory instead of a bow? Your accessories always, always, always draw me in as much or more so than the actual doll. I’m not sure why that is. Perhaps it’s because they animate the doll and give it a story that’s waiting to be told… These dogs are so cute and personable, but they seem static and still waiting for their story to be revealed…

Come to think of it, your fish though don’t need a story… Maybe I have just become accustomed to watching for your accessories that you put together for your girls…

Anyway, that’s an option to a bow. I know sometimes when I used to take our black lab in for grooming, they would put a triangular bandana around her neck.

Either way, the dogs are really, really adorable. They look like a lot of fun!

  7. OMG, I asked for a dachshund, and you instantly produced one! He’s so cute! I agree that his front “arms” are maybe a bit long, but I still think he’s wonderful. I also agree that I might prefer a smaller bow on the pug, or no bow at all. You are amazing!

  8. The pug is delicious! I say keep the bow, but maybe offcenter or a wee bit smaller. Her tutu and lilac striped sweater are super!

  9. The little pug dog makes me smile! I too think she looks better without the bow…..what sort of accessory would a pug have…?
