Another Cat Lady

Cat ladies are fun to make. I get to search out all my most kitty fabrics.

I especially like to use angora because it fuzzes up in a soft cloud (orange kitty). The white kitty is alpaca, the grey is cashmere.

Windy Day Lady and Blog-iversary

My blog is 15 years old today. How crazy is that! We’ve come a LONG way together.

Here is my windy day Lady pillow doll.

She is reminiscent of this lady that I made so many years ago (April 2010!). Also, my tiny world pincushions. Someone messaged me an amazing photo of a chair with appliqued town imagery and I’d link to it but I couldn’t find any artist attribution so that doesn’t feel right. Anyway.

She has her cashmere hat and scarf for this blustery day.

And here is one more photo from when I was working on her. You can see that I tried out some other ideas that didn’t make it into the finished piece. I was planning trees and blowing leaves but changed to chimneys and smoke.

I have sooooo much orange wool because of the fox dolls which = lots of orange wool scraps. And that equals a flock of orange birds.

Garden Lady

I’m back to playing with my bags of soft cashmere bits that make such sweet and soft flowers.

This one is definitely not inspired by nature out my window. We’ve had a hard frost and the garden is over for the year. And tonight, we are suppose to have our first snow.
