Another pug, this one is soft colors and also soft textures! She is all soft cashmere and wool/angora blend!
And yes, we got snow- lots and lots and lots of snow. I took her photo in the same place as the polka dot pug, just to give you an idea. The snow makes me thankful that I work at home and don’t have to worry about the messes it causes- no parking, slow traffic, slippery roads. I can just appreciate how pretty it looks for now.
I suddenly just needed to make something with polka dots!
And tonight we are getting a blizzard so there will be a lot of white backgrounds for a while!
I’ll be thinking of her as Grumpy pug but I thought it might be mean to put that in the title.
She has a cashmere skirt and shawl (and for that matter, her “fur” parts are also cashmere) so I have no idea what the cranky attitude is all about!
And 3 pugs on the porch.
It seems impossible to get the colors in the photos just right. This fellow’s scarf is what I’d call a dark orange versus the red it looks like in all the photos.
How do you like the amazing elephant ears? I’ve had so much fun watching them grow this summer. They come from grapefruit sized bulbs that my husband bought at the big-box store.
A very dressed up pug girl!
She is wearing a very fancy houndstooth that I bought in Montreal last fall.
I got a little carried away once I started stitching.
Curly tails in the back.
This boy has pockets!
Her skirt is very fancy in the back.
Hurray for something getting finished! I am feeling very far behind right now so I checked how many dolls I’d made by this point last year- yep, I’m behind. Last year on this date I posted #29- 2013 doll. These pugs are #20 and #21- 2014. Not too bad but still need to do some catch up.
This fellow is made of black cashmere and a wool plaid shirt that I bought at the thrift store- my son got first dibs on it but he passed. Now, a new life! And a wool felt bow tie.
She is cashmere body, beige and black, vintage wool plaid shirt and cashmere knit skirt. I used some gorgeous wool felt from A Child’s Dream, recommended by Salley Mavor. I bought an assortment pack of hand dyed felt right after Christmas but this is the first time I’ve used any. I love it- it is softer to the touch than my standard felt and also softer color. Uh-oh, might have to buy some more!
If you are interested in either of these pugs, they are $100 ea + shipping. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. There will be more pugs tomorrow!
