Her dress is a vintage poly/cotton print. I have a lot left if anyone wants some.

Spring is really here and there are lots of distractions. I’ve been working on getting the garden cleared up of the winter mess and also cleared of all the stuff I should have taken care of last fall but didn’t. Also, we have moved ourselves out of the bedroom so the paint job that I started 3 1/2 years ago might get finished. Every paint job in our house is a huge production and I no longer have any enthusiasm for doing them. Paint has to be stripped, plaster patched… ugh. Well, I’ve done the first step anyway and the room is almost cleared out. I guess that is progress.

Lisa at doll club

So, a very strange thing happened at the doll club meeting last Thursday. We meet at the Westford Public Library on the first Thursday of the month. We were having a low key gathering, showing the work we’ve done over the past month. The next thing I know, in comes Lisa Lichtenfels with one of our members who announces- look who I found! Remember, I went out to her show in January? She does not live in the immediate area. She is about 1 1/2 hours away. She and her husband were in the area looking for something and stopped into the library to ask directions. One of our members saw a truck with an image of one of Lisa’s art pieces drive up the driveway, past the window of the room we were sitting in. She went out and found her and invited her to come in and see us- it was an amazing coincidence and great fun to have her visit!
