Well, so much for the musicians- I guess they will continue to wait in that long line in my head of ideas wanting to come to life. Instead, this is who has arrived- the boyfriend, or maybe I should have called him Sweetheart.

He is a constuction combination of the Big Man pattern and the applique technique I used for Little Red Ridinghood.

Here she is, the last of this series of fairy dolls. She is Granny fairy-

She has blue and grey hair and lots of fancy details-

a crown and ribbons-

and very special wings- 2 colors, ribbons and beads, long and drapey-

and side puffs instead of a skirt-

and here are all the ladies in the garden-

I am going flower crazy!

This is what I did with them all. This flower fairy doll makes me think of a 60’s hippy girl with flowers in her hair. Although I guess she really needed to be wearing tie-dye to make the look just right.

She even has flower feet!

I am going to try and finish the last of this group of fairy dolls and put them into my etsy shop on Wednesday. Now that I’ve said it, I’m commited, right? Guess I better get back to work!

Yesterday I thought I had finished this doll. I took a lot of photos and couldn’t get any that I liked. For some reason, my camera doesn’t do well with reds. But besides that, I didn’t like how the doll was looking. I finally realized it wasn’t the photos, it was the doll! Here are some photos from yesterday- the color is actually pretty close to true in these ones-

I redid her hair-do and I’m a lot happier.

I’m still not satisfied with the photos though. arg!
