We don&#8217;t have signs like this in Boston-<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"sign\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:sign.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was a day late getting to Chicago.  My plane got so delayed leaving, that I spent another night in Minneapolis.  I had one full day in Chicago with Eleanor- what a great way to spend my birthday!  We did her errands, then went to Fabric Stores- 2121 21st St and Vogue Fabrics.  I used the birthday excuse to buy myself some really special wool\/angora(? or was it cashmere, I should have written it down) blend in my favorite acid green color.  Then downtown to the <a href=\"http:\/\/egov.cityofchicago.org\/city\/webportal\/portalEntityHomeAction.do?entityName=Cultural+Center&#038;entityNameEnumValue=128\">Chicago Cultural Center<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.millenniumpark.org\/\">Millennium Park<\/a>.  Thanks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loosetooth.com\/Me\/me.php3\">Brandy<\/a> for the fantastic suggestions.  I&#8217;ve got a few left that I&#8217;ll have to do next time I&#8217;m in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>So here is the bean, of course&#8230; had to take a picture of that-<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"bean1\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:bean.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"bean2\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:bean2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know how I managed to get those pictures with no one else around- there were crowds of people everywhere&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>and this amazing fountain-<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"fountain1\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:fountain.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>it was hot as anything and I was very tempted to jump in with everyone else-<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"fountain2\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:fountain2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"fountain3\" src=\"https:\/\/mimikirchner.com\/blog\/images\/8:6:fountain3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Thursday morning, before flying home, I went out to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redmoon.org\/\">Redmoon<\/a> with Eleanor and she gave me a tour of the shop.  Wow!  They are doing some amazing stuff and it all looks like it would be so much fun to work on.
