I’m working on some fancy swaddled babies- lots of applique.\u00c2\u00a0 I have covered my table with all my favorite fall kind of colors.<\/p>\n

We went to the Peabody Essex Museum<\/a> on Sunday to see the Joseph Cornell show<\/a>, among other things.\u00c2\u00a0 The show is large with an amazing amount of his work.\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately I was left with mixed feelings about the experience- the exhibit was very dimly lit to protect the artwork, but really, what is the point- I could hardly see the pieces.\u00c2\u00a0 It was frustrating.\u00c2\u00a0 I also couldn’t understand the theory of how they arranged the show.\u00c2\u00a0 It wasn’t chronological or based on themes or anything else I could figure out.\u00c2\u00a0 That always leaves me feeling confused.<\/p>\n

The other exhibit I was excited about seeing, was an origami show<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It was fantastic! \u00c2\u00a0 No crowds, no shoving, absolutely mind boggling constructions.\u00c2\u00a0 One that I can’t stop thinking about,\u00c2\u00a0 was a giant squid attacking a sailing vessel… all made out of one sheet of paper.\u00c2\u00a0 Incredible!\u00c2\u00a0 There was a hands-on area too.\u00c2\u00a0 You can check out instructions here<\/a>-\u00c2\u00a0 Ben and I both made butterflies.\u00c2\u00a0 Fun!\u00c2\u00a0 I was very into origami when I was a kid.\u00c2\u00a0 The enthusiasm has carried over.<\/p>\n

The other show we wanted to see in Salem, was “Ode to Cornell-\u00c2\u00a0 What would Joseph Do”.\u00c2\u00a0 Abby<\/a> had 2 pieces in the show so I particularly wanted to go check it out.\u00c2\u00a0 It was so much fun to see after seeing the Cornell show at the PEM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
