As you have probably noticed if you are reading this, I have continued to have a certain amount of technical problems with my blog since the great meltdown. The photos aren’t consistently loading (mostly not) … oh, you’ve noticed? Hopefully it will get resolved soon.

Anyway, here are some links I’ve been meaning to post-

Eeyorfactory is my neighbor Heidi. Aren’t her kids’ clothes amazing?

A few weeks ago, I went to see Crafts at the Castle, one of the high end craft shows in Boston. It is always worth a visit to see the beautiful work. One of my favorites- Sarmite Wearable Art. Wow! I can’t see myself wearing one of these since I go in for invisible as a fashion statement, but I’d LOVE to have access to their scrap pile! The fabrics were so delicious! The colors and texture…. maybe I should write and ask… would that be too strange?

very cool- Laura Balombini

This intrigued me- Danielle Gori-Montanelli . Her jewelry is made of felt. Beautiful colors, wool and in a variety of thicknesses up to about 1/4 inch. I asked her where it came from and she told me it is Italian. Does anybody know how I could get some of that thick (1/4 inch), soft (you could cut it with scissors), wool felt? Is it available anywhere online?

  1. I posted about my 100% wool find the other week. It isn’t as thick as that though. But It would thicken up a lot if you fulled it (in hot water and then the dryer for 1/2 hour) because it is all wool. I’ll try a piece and let you know if you like.

  2. I do not think it is strange..I think it is smart to ask for leftover beautiful fabric scraps..hihi

links are wonderful and please pictures…come soon.

  3. I don’t think it strange at all. Fortune favours the bold. I’d be interested to know how they respond.

Hope you work out your tech issues soon. You are an integral part of my inspiration.

    Merry Christmas Mimi.

  4. Great links! I think your neighbor’s children’s clothing is adorable! I really like all the wool felt goodies. Happy Holidays!
