… for 3 days, and unfortunately not at some great vacation destination… I’ve been down in Connecticut again, helping out with Mom and Dad. There are no easy, neat or obvious solutions when your parents are failing.
I brought down several projects to work on and was able to make some progress between dealing with various messes and mini- disasters.

at the doll spa-
a complete make-over…
Before
After
The doll is wrapped in a towel rag to protect it from random paint mess. I’m going to have to work on the nose a little more. The problems pop out in a photograph, when I can’t see them at all when the doll is right in front of me.
and trying out some hair-do options…
draping my cut wool yarn.
2 steps forward, one step back
Tomorrow is my birthday- one of the BIG ones…
I have been trying to move forward on the bird child doll, in spite of my dissatisfaction. I unpinned the wig and removed the clothes except for the shoes and socks. I am doing some work on the face painting. I am thinking about a different kind of hair- straight probably. I am looking at different fiber possibilities. I wound off some very fine wool yarn in dark brown from its’ cone. I’ll lay it across the head and think about it.
Also, I have been working on the other heads I made. I have 4 ideas going. I have 4 ziplock bags that I am collecting materials into. Today I spent a lot of time painting faces on canvas paper. I was inspired by the very hot and humid weather and my air-conditioned studio!
