Some fun stuff!

First- Happy Easter and Happy 90th Birthday, Dad! Big family get together yesterday.

and
I got this wonderful fellow in the mail-

momerath

He (?) is a mome rath, made by Erica over on mmm… coffee. I have no idea how to pronounce mome rath…. She is selling them through Sewing Stars, here.

Yesterday we met up with Eleanor and Julian to go to the family party. We got to hear all about the trip to Japan, see pictures, and best of all- get presents- yeah! They brought me-

some fabulous fabric- I especially love the green and white fabric with gourds!

fabric

scraps of kimono fabric- (sorry the photo came out strangely because, for some reason, I can not get my camera to focus properly on textured fabric)

and some magazines! Yippee! I am reading through them- lots of eye candy.

magazines

The funny thing about the doll magazines is that they are hard for me to get even if I have family going to Japan, because they find it way too embarrassing to ask for them!

  1. Shoot, not me. My family and friends know I’m loopy about dolls, or just plain loopy; they’d expect nothing less. :-)

  2. Hi, I just found your blog linked from mmmm…coffee and there in the first photo is MY Bernina! I’ve had the 930 for over 20 years and it still runs like a champ. I sew every day and I’ve probably put over 100,000 miles on it! I bought an Artista about 2 years ago and actually traded in the 930. Then about a week later I regretted it and went back to the store and bought it back! Do you love yours too?

  3. Just wondering where you purchased or found the chirimen fabric shown in the picture.
    Thanks !
