It is looking as if I might have a chance to go to London in 2 weeks (around 2/21). If that happens, could that lead to any fun, blog-related meet-ups? Or is there anything going on that I should jump at the chance to see? I think spending whatever time I had at the Victoria and Albert might be worth it, all by itself.
V&A, V&A, V&A!! I visited London once, a few years ago, and planned to spend my one free morning at the V&A. A train accident paralyzed the station I was to leave from that morning and long story short, my visit was greatly shortened by the time I actually got there. But from my experience, I could plan a whole trip to London based on days of wandering the collections at the V&A. In a word…*heaven*.
Oh wow. It would be wonderful meeting up with you. V&A is a must to see. If you are interested there is painting exhibition on during that time in the Royal Academy of Arts where they are featuring French and Russian paintings. Also the Terracota soldiers are on display in the British Museum. For that I however suggest one goes and ques up early in the morning as they sell only 500 tickets per day on the spot which go very quickly as everything else is booked. Anyway let me know nearer the time perhaps we can meet up for a cup of coffee somewhere.
Oh boy! I hope you get to go! How exciting!
I vote V&A, Harrods and tea at the Ritz. In that order. Wear the most comfortable shoes on Earth, because you will walk your feet off. Oh, how could I forget??!??! Liberty of London, especially for their button selection. And Lush cosmetics for yummy soaps and lotions.
Ooooh, make sure you leave time to stop by Liberty of London. The fabric section is amazing. Mostly cottons and silks, which I know is not your style, but the design is pretty inspirational. Have a GREAT trip, if you get to go.
