That’s the roof of the gazebo.  And the island is back to the way it was when I first saw it. I wonder if the beavers are still in the lodge on the right.
Pieces of the gazebo are now part of the beaver dam-
On the other side of the street, the water is really low-
Lots of water coming through the culvert though- we were surprised the beavers weren’t working on the dam. We didn’t see any sign of freshly cut wood.

I spent a lovely night in that gazebo one summer, on a cot, with a candle fixed into a piece of wood for me by WLH. The mosquitoes couldn’t get in, but the wonderful galumphs and splashes of the bullfrogs sang me to sleep. Of course, there are many meories of the gazebo, but that was my lovely soliatary summer’s night. Thanks for the pics. By day you could sit quietly there and watch for frogs and damselflies to land on the lily pads.
