We had to pull all the pots off the front porch when we had a few nights with frosts. That always seems to happen right before the brugmansia is about to bloom. Now it is in the enclosed part of the porch, looking beautiful and giving off a most exotic fragrance. When we open the front door, it perfumes the house!
I live in Portugal in front of an enormous park. I work in a school across the park. The brugmansia makes my son laugh on his way to school everyday. He tells me that it reminds him of a special magical building!!!!!
We never noticed the perfume!
I love brugmansias! I had a yellow one also and the fragrance is indescribable!
Oh wow! What a treat that must be.
I love them too but be careful I think that they are highly poisonous if ingested by humans or animals. Check it out on the web. Maybe there are different non-poisonous varieties?
Love the brugmansias or their other name angel’s trumpets. They are poisonous. I have a peach one in my back yard.
