Robot 4 after stuffing and tweaking-

r4a

I stitched up through some of the wool and button joints because he ended up being too floppy. The ones I fixed were at the neck, waist and knees.

I changed his head from this picture. The finished body proportions made the head look too small to me… so I made a new one.

Here is the back in case you are curious-

He is about 28 inches long.

Here is the whole gang… next post, photos of Robot 5 which I finally finished. The poor thing was armless for too long.

  1. I love your robots! They look like they are waiting to come alive when you leave the room or turn out the lights…but maybe I see too many cartoons and hang out with my 7 yr old son too much- he has an over-active imagination :o)

  2. mimi,
they are so wonderful! it’s hard to believe that they are only wool, stuffing, and embellishments and not ready to walk off to their own little robot-y lives after they have their picture taken. i must say though, that the purple guy makes me especially happy!

  3. Well, I’m a robot fanatic, so I love ’em all, but I think I like the new one the best – I think he’s got a real personality!

  4. oh yes, and very soon they can start a star war, and fighting…or you can commend the red one to do all the dishes, the blue one all laundry…

  5. Oh, I love them. I like the big-shouldered ones but the more humanoid ones are wonderful, too. I can’t get enough of them!

  6. Your robots are wonderful. I love the button jointed one and it looks as though they all might start whirring and clanking any minute.

  7. Hey!…I Googled for only love is real, but found your page about more robots…and have to say thanks. nice read.
