This is what I was talking about here– the last paragraph about doing sets. Ten postcards, house with window, a face in the window. The same, but all different. This way works better for me, I think.
I really need to find the manual for my camera and figure out how to adjust the setting so that the night postcards will not come out over-exposed. I hate seeing the rich colors and face details wash out… but I have an overwhelming need to post them anyway!
All these varsiations are fantastic! Such different moods created in the day and night versions–I especially like the girl behind the curtain. :)
Mimi ~ I can’t even find words to tell you how much I love your cards, and particularly the “series idea.” Do you teach? This is also the stuff of books. I have a publisher idea, if you’re interested.
Wow! Don’t you feel a quilt coming on when you look at that? Those are really awesome, Mimi!
Wonderful! I particularly love the babies’ faces.
Hi Mimi,
I have finally surfaced from being a blog lurker-I am out of the closet! Your blog is one of my absolute favourites, and this house series of postcards are just divine. You are an inspiring artist, and I think I might have to go and read all of your archives.
Lovely cards,i love those and your fairies and the men you make they are outstanding!
Mimi, the house series cards are fabulous! I definitely think you’ve hit upon a great idea with your series of subjects. Just look at how gorgeous your fairies and boyfriends turned out. Thanx for sharing with us, as always. :-)
Hey Mimi – I’ve been so busy, but still reading your blog regularly. I just love these postcards – my artist card of yours would fit thematically, wouldn’t it?! Also love the artist card set you posted today.
