I am going flower crazy!
This is what I did with them all. This flower fairy doll makes me think of a 60’s hippy girl with flowers in her hair. Although I guess she really needed to be wearing tie-dye to make the look just right.
She even has flower feet!

I am going to try and finish the last of this group of fairy dolls and put them into my etsy shop on Wednesday. Now that I’ve said it, I’m commited, right? Guess I better get back to work!
I think I might like this one the best, although they are all so lovely. I like this one’s expression and the way her long hair falls.
i’ve loved watching all the fairies develope, but flower girl might just be my new favorite!! i remember you posting about those cool tools before but can’t remember when…WHERE did they come from? how great to be able to “punch” the felt out…the cutting can get so tedious. beautiful work Mimi :)
I got the Sizzix Paddle punches (that is the trademark name when you look for them) at AC Moore or Michaels. They send out the 50% off one item coupons and I’ve picked some up that way. You can also get them through ebay. That was how I got my starter kit- the hammer and pad. They work really well with felt.
OOOOH!!! I’ve never seen those sizzix thingies before but I just need them now!
I wondered when this technique would be knocked off by other doll makers. I guess I’ve had a good long run with it. I’ve used this design on my Centaur girls for 7 years now.
