I like the contrast between her demure posture and immaculate coiffe and her tattoos. And the subversive use of terribly respectable, French salon toile de jouy tickles me no end. And where I’ve only ever seen trees and shepherdesses, you’ve found toothless beggars. Very edgy. A doll to make you think. Love it. Vive la Revolution!
