I’ve been attempting to clean my studio and deal with some projects that have been lying around for a while. I tried making a barn owl a while back, not exactly sure when, but I wasn’t at all happy with how it turned out. I also had no idea what I needed to change. I picked it up the other day and pulled out a few bird books. I studied the photos then cut off the face and replaced it. Now I love this guy!

I’ve always had a soft spot for your owls. I love how you’ve done the “feathers” on the edges of the wings and head. He turned out fabulously!
Well, taking a break always help me find better way to solve problems too. Glad you figured it out, Mimi. He’s great! And glad he survived the decapitation. Hehehee.
