This sweet plaid fox girl is wearing a cashmere sweater and a dress made from Liberty lawn. I have no idea how old the fabric is but I’d guess 60’s or 70’s. It was from my Mom’s stash and I have a good amount of it on a roll, labeled with her handwriting.

I am at the stage of my sewing where I am trying to build inventory with some of all the kinds of pieces I make, to take to San Francisco. That often means more jumping around than usual. So, even though I have 4 more foxes almost finished, sitting on my desk, I am moving on to the next thing and I will get back to them later. My studio is a CRAZY mess!
Oh, Mimi, I do so love your sweet work. It helps me stay sane to see such whimsy and fun in the face of all the ugly mess around us. Keep on stitching. As they say at Gather Here, “the resistance is handmade”. xo
