a little rework

okay, I went back and fixed the tails of the luna moth on the first baby

Here is the fix I did-

Now the tails are thinner and hopefully more graceful. The new official baby picture-

And this one because I like it-

And now for some garden photos. The sunflowers are starting to open. The bees love them!

And this was what I was hoping for when I planted the tomatoes, 2 months ago-so exciting!

  1. What a lovely picture of bees on the sunflowers. Your garden is much more advanced than mine here in Portland. I’ve been lurking reading your blog for over a year, I grew up in Lexington, so your garden photos remind me of my old home. I love your dolls, and tikis , and embroideries. Best wishes for a happy birthday!

  2. Happy Birthday! You really are such a perfectionist going back to those moth tails. Beautiful work – and gorgeous looking tomatoes too!

  3. Have a Happy Birthday…..I love reading your blog..its so much fun to see your latest creations. Love your dolls and I don’t know how you come up with so many different designs. Keep up the good work.

  4. Your work is exquisite. I thought your babies were perfect before you modified the moths. But you continue to ‘take it up a notch’ Thank you for sharing. Happy happy birthday!

  5. Happy belated Birthday Mimi! Those bees look wonderful in the sunflower and the babies are striking with the lovely luna moths.

Happy birthday! Mine is coming right up – mid August. What sign are you?

  7. it’s been a while!! i had alot of reading to catch up on.

First of all…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Where did THAT year go to? Seems like only yesterday I was spralled out on the sofa sick with pregnancy when I missed this occasion last year. Hope you do something special to celebrate.

These luna babies are wonderful!! Thanks for the stuffing tip…it’s nice to see how you can use scraps of cut wool to add weigh to the babies…i can never stand to throw away even the tiniest scrap.

  8. HaPpY BiRthDaY!!! What a fun idea! I love your work, and also keep an eye on your blog and etsy site to see what amazing new creations you’ve come up with. If I lived closer, I’D offer to be your intern :-)

  9. Happy belated birthday! I hope it was lovely! Your butterfly dolls are beautiful as can be. I really cannot get enough of your work. I am kicking myself for not doing enough blog reading this past little while and thereby missing your give away! Mom has been visiting and I have been so busy with her…. Thank you for the beautiful eyecandy!
