This was a fun little guy to make. He has a two-toned corduroy jacket, a bright blue backpack, and a red cashmere scarf. None of that would be good for camouflage in the forest but I love the bright colors!

And a striped sweater vest under his jacket.

all the rest of the tiny worlds

So, all these Tiny Worlds? I’ve been making them all for the Holiday window of Gather Here, my favorite local fabric/yarn store. We set it up this morning.

12:1:tw windowI will go back when it isn’t raining and there is no glare on the glass so I can post better shots of the finished window. Here are the last of the tiny worlds that I made for it.

And then I tried out some new ideas! A castle in a gold tea cup-

This one has the garden I’ve always wanted. It was a challenge to photograph all the topiary.

And lastly, I stayed up late last night to finish this one. That meant that with the rain this morning, there was no way to take a good picture. But, here it is in the window, a tiny town on a hill!

wow- 6 owls!

In between all the Tiny Worlds!

Two greys-

One orange scrappy-

and 3 Snowy Owls!

Some of these will go in my Etsy shop but not all. Two are already flying out to Illinois to be part of a Land Of Nod pop-up shop on November 30 in Rockford, Illinois. At least one other is slated for another project. But I have a few more partially finished that might be done in the next month. I will keep you informed when I get things listed.

Tiny World time!

2 of the projects I mentioned in the last post involve me making Tiny World pin cushions. I am working on them a little at a time, so I’ll post them in a trickle between other finished items.

This tea cup has a book/writing/reading theme. Interesting!

11:18:TW 2a

This strawberry cup is say Spring to me.

I’m not sure why but I find this tea cup pattern in the thrift store fairly often.

That’s all for today!

arg- it’s Pirate time!

11:16:pirate1 b

Yes, I did have too much fun figuring out how to make a felt cutlass!

11:16:pirate1 a

And I knew I had some buckles somewhere so I started searching my bookcase and found a cigar box full of buttons I’d forgotten about- like a surprise gift to me from the past!

I’m not sure if it is obvious over here in my sweet corner of the internet but my life has been a bit CRAZY lately- and mostly in a good way. I thought that things were going to slow down for me after mid-October which was when I needed to have everything submitted for the sale at One Kings Lane. Instead, every day seems to bring more exciting opportunities into my email box. I was hoping to have my Etsy shop chock full of goodies for the start of the Holiday season, but instead I have been selling like gangbusters (Hurray!) and it is pretty bare. I’m sewing as fast as I can, but I’ve also said yes to a number of (fun, amazing, fantastic!) things that mean my focus is elsewhere. I am so behind on emails and if I told you I would make you something… well, hopefully? It might still be a while though. It is exciting and very busy times around here!
