One of the people who will be taking my tiny world workshop is traveling from out of town. She asked me for recommendations for “can’t miss” crafting related places- for shopping and for inspiration- in the New England area. I have some places that I’ve been to and like, but I thought I would do a general shout out and then organize and make a page with all of your suggestions too. The Fiber Studio in Henniker, NH
The Dorr Mill Store in Newport, NH (Yikes, they are having a Columbus Day Weekend Sale!)

We have First Saturday Open Studios every month from 12-5 with over 150 working artists showing their work and their processes.
Wed-Sunday every week we also have the Loading Dock Gallery, Mon-Fri Friends Fabric Art (a wonderful resource for textile artists) and Wed-Sun Lush Beads retail bead shop! Not to mention Tues-Sat Classic Elite yarns factory outlet shop upstairs :)
I second the recommendation for Western Avenue Studios, for obvious reasons. :-)
I’d also like to recommend the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA and the New England Quilt Museum in downtown Lowell, MA.
