The plant show this past weekend was great fun! I came home with new plants, sore feet, lots of new knowledge. Hope your weekend was terrific too!
This is another gesneriad-inspired lady doll, this time a primulina.
She has little bows on her shoes.
If you know me well, you know that besides needlework, I am very into plants and gardening. I belong to the local Gesneriad Society and we are having our show this weekend. I wanted to make a doll or two for the show. Here is my first one- Miss Sinningia.
My inspiration-
February was all about the Tiny Worlds. I made 16 all together. These are the last 2.
One more try at a winery for my California group. I like this one better.

And here is all the “hills” together, except for the one special order that went to it’s new home. I love a group shot!
Now my studio needs a massive cleanup so I will be spending a couple of days doing that.

This tiny world is made in a tea cup from a family set. I made a house on a hill with a rose garden.
The rose bushes go all the way around.
I like doing these kind of pieces- making a garden in a special tea cup, but the stakes seem high! That can be a bit intimidating!
This is the last of the 5 California-themed Tiny worlds.
And here they are, all together. There is the Painted Lady House, the Desert House, the Winery, the Cabin in the woods, and the Palm Springs house. Were there other obvious California scenes that I missed?
