I am having such a good time with all these lovely ladies!

Fancy boot laces!

Yes, she does look pretty cold out there :-)

I must be dreaming of Spring. I have made lots of Green Men and it got me thinking so here is my trying something new lady.

She has crazy leafy hair!

An embroidered belt and green slippers.

Tattooed lady #4 of 2021.

Farm and orchard designs on the fabric and a very fancy antique button.

A closer look at her back-

I finished her in time to photograph before the snow started on Monday. But then I got involved with my dyeing project and that was that for the day. And today too. It turned out to be a 2 day dyeing project. But now I have a year’s worth of new tattooed ladies, gentlemen, mermen, lumberjacks, etc, to work with and I am pretty excited about some of the new fabrics and colors!

She has a silk ribbon sash at her waist with a big bow in the back.

And here is the next lady.

2 face pics.

She has a shiny glass bead “button” on her belt.

It has been a while since I’ve made any ladies. I didn’t remember why until I pulled out the patterns and the fabrics. Last time I’d worked on them I’d been thinking that I wanted to tweak the pattern a bit and that was the end of that! I’ve been playing around with little changes that no one else will likely notice. We’ll see how it goes.

Here is a close-up of her hair-

I am also cutting out a bunch of new men from some great new fabrics and some old favorites. I can’t do too much at a time because it makes my arm sore- the perils of getting old. Hopefully soon I will get the dyeing supplies out and have another years worth of fellows.

The third lumberjack is the last for now. I’ve got a lot of prep work on my desk right now- sewing, cutting, and even getting out the dyes. I’m revving up for a new year that seems so very uncertain. But I will continue to make because that’s what keeps me sane!

Spotty hair.

George Washington on his chest.

A wooden button because he is a lumberjack!

After I took all the pics, I found his axe on the floor- so I had to take some additional pics. I can’t believe that I didn’t notice! And so here he is with his axe and his hat on too.

2 faces-

His arm tats, more faces-

A ginger-haired beefy lumberjack to start off a new year.

I didn’t give him a hat because I like his hair too much to cover it up.

Classic toile tattoos on his chest and arms.

A nice old button on his belt and embroidered buttons on his shirt.

It can be a real challenge to come up with titles for these posts- hence, sometimes the odd ones! This handsome fellow has cherubs on his chest!
And a stag on his back.

Here is what his hair looks like in back-
