They keep on coming-
I’d actually made most of this one, more than a year ago but finished it up with the butterflies.
I taught a tiny world workshop last weekend. Two of the participants finished in time for me to get a photo-
Lots of bright color choices during the gloomy days of winter! Teaching meant that I pulled out all my supplies and made some sample parts and all the rest. So, post class, I am working on my own Tiny Worlds this week.
It is fun to be working on them again after such a long time!
I am going to be teaching 2 classes in January at Gather Here in Cambridge MA.
On January 17 and 18 I will be teaching the Swaddled Baby. On January 31 and February 1, I will be teaching Tiny World Pin Cushions. Both of these classes run forĀ 2 afternoons. Come and join the fun!
These cute couple is going to be in a show-
They will be part of a show called Don’t Play With Me. The gallery is in Pawtucket, RI at Machine With Magnets. There is an opening on Sunday, Dec. 7, 4 – 7 with lots of cool things happening. If you can’t make the opening, the show is up until early January. If Facebook is more your thing, there is a page with all the info about the show here.
The other thing I wanted to tell you about- My friends at Sweet Paul magazine gave me a link to share for a free digital subscription. Go ahead, check it out! It’s FREE!
I am working as much as I can to finish pieces that I promised and also have new things in the shop. There is never enough time before Christmas!
I have some postcards in a show at the Artstream Gallery in New Hampshire. I called them stitched doodles. They are all approximately 4″ x 6″.
If you are interested in any of them, they are available here. There are lots of other amazing little gems of art available from artists around the world. Check it out!
This was the one that didn’t get sent because I needed to pick out 4 from the five I made.
WooHoo! Remember this? Me working on prototypes for ornaments for West Elm? Well, they are now available online! I am SO excited! I haven’t seen them in person yet but they look very close to my originals-
Their version- girl, boy. Theirs are machine stitched but they are really close and certainly retain the look- I am completely thrilled! There is also a moose, a bear and a racoon.
I will be in San Francisco next weekend with all my wares- hope some of you can stop by for a visit!
And for anyone who plans way ahead, I will be in Chicago in September 6 and 7.
In other news, I revised my Tiny World pattern after all these years. Honestly, it’s been on my to-do list for at LEAST a year! It now includes the pattern for 2 little houses- one upright as shown in the photos, the other is a cottage style. If you bought the pattern in the last year and you’d like a refreshed pattern, send me something that shows when you bought it and I will send you a new pdf copy. mimik@pobox.com
I’m going to San Francisco for the Renegade Craft Market in July! Now it’s time to plan my trip, buy the plane tickets, all that other stuff.
Last year I taught a class on the Friday before and that was really fun. Is anyone interested in that again? Leave a comment or send me an email if you have thoughts- mimik@pobox.com
