And, today my appearance on Liz Smith’s (MadeinLowell) cable TV show went live. Believe it or not, I wasn’t totally cringing when I watched it. It just didn’t feel like I was watching me. Weird, eh? Liz is amazing and all her shows are super interesting.

The following weekend, September 28 and 29, I will be in Washington DC for my first time at Crafty Bastards!

There are other exciting plans in the works that I’ll be able to tell you about soon. It is sooo busy around here! Besides talking on the phone about future possibilities, filling out show applications, reading business emails and all that other boring stuff, I am getting some studio time. I hope to do some dyeing of tattooed people fabrics before I leave on Wednesday. Full steam ahead!

October plans

BH2-1

I will be at the South End Open Market on October 18 with my pals of Boston Handmade.

On Oct. 17, I am doing a Tiny World class- yes, there is still space available- info here.

I am working on a new pattern-

kitty

Kitties! I am working on a pattern for this kitty that will include clothes to make it either a girl or boy kitty. I find this pattern writing thing to be very difficult, in case you are hearing some screams coming from my window.

Here are some of the original kitties I made.

birthday give-away!

It is a Mimi calendar!

It goes from September 2009-

to August 2010-

with lots of goodies in-between!

All you need to do is leave me a Happy Birthday greeting comment on this post before Wednesday night becomes Thursday, Eastern Standard Time. I will pick the winner on Thursday at some point by random number generator. I am happy to mail it anywhere.

This was one of the projects I did in my Photoshop class. Don’t worry, I’m keeping the one with all the mistakes.

Mr. April

Have you seen the Whip-Up calendar? It was one of the projects I’d alluded to over here. The request for an image was what inspired me to buy the new camera… which, btw, I am loving.

I am so proud to be part of it! And, with such great company!

Kathreen has been so supportive of my work and of other artists doing offbeat fiber arts. So, a HUGE thank you to Kathreen!

The calendar is available here. I just bought mine- with shipping from Australia it was $28.93.
