Firstly, Happy New Year everyone! This is one of the Gingerbread cookies I made this year-
I’ve been busy with family and Holidays and all, and basically feeling kinda lazy but it’s finally time to get back to real life. Here is the last doll I made in 2024.
He is a special order memorial doll and I was honored to be asked to make him.
I love the idea of the Green Man. I’ve played around with the idea before with these green man tikis. I know that lots of people will look at him and think, Jolly Green Giant, but no, he’s a green man and I am sticking to that!
I loved using this variegated pearl cotton for embroidering his belt and I even found a leaf button! I used more of the variegated thread for his boot laces.
Here is my new guy!
I have been designing him in my head for about a year now. Crazy, eh? Yep, it often takes that long between initial idea and something finally getting made.
You can’t see in the pics, but the pants not only have white stripes, there is also red stripes in that navy background.
I’ve got 3 more cut out and I will be making up some more of these very well decorated fellows.
