Merry Christmas everybody! I hope all of you are more organized and ready then I am- I will be making stuff on Tuesday for the last few family gifts… I will be traveling down to see relatives for a few days mid-week. I am working on these ornaments- I am thinking of them as flat dolls, which makes me smile.

I continue to be optimistic and post new photos… and then freak out when they don’t consistently load. Must be something they have a drug for. Anyway, today… Mango has found the most perfect spot to sleep on a sunny morning- the place I set up to photograph the dolls.

I finished this sweater baby last week-

Today I was at my local Trader Joe’s when apparently the numbers on my sales receipt came up just right- bells were rung, I got to spin a wheel and I came home with a free bouquet of flowers. It made my day!

This is a test of blogging from Flickr. Mango was sitting in my photo set-up spot; the sunniest place in the house in the morning. And he did NOT want to move! He looks like he’s saying- ahem… excuuuuse me!

I started this guy back in October but got distracted by other ideas. I was inspired to finish him to take to the sale last weekend. Having robot dolls on my table attracted customers I’m not used to seeing… men!

I wonder how much call there ever was for gray rick rack?

I’ll be out of town for a few days- my Mom’s 90th birthday!

Fat fairy 11 is my November colored fairy- dark olive green, gold, red. Her body is made from hand dyed wool. I bought a box of wool fabrics years ago at an estate sale- the lady made hooked rugs. The fabric is finally finding its’ way into my work…

Her skirt is made from a metallic fabric that I bought last summer when I was out in Chicago. Her hair is made of felted wool roving. Here are her wings-

I’ve been slowly adding more work to my etsy shop and also to my gallery. It is easier to post to my gallery so right now, more pieces are there.

I’ve spent all of the morning trying to take advantage of the minimal light to get some decent photos to post on my Etsy shop. I’ll be doing more tomorrow when hopefully there
will be better light.

It is going to take some time to get it all posted so if there is anything you’ve seen in the past few weeks that you are curious about or interested in, please email me. I am still catching up with the photo postings of what I did last week. Here is fat fairy #10.

and back. She has a double skirt- 2 colors of shimmery translucent fabric.

Yikes! The Holly Fair set up is today and I haven’t caught up posting pictures of my new work. Here are 2 more kitties- sweet, gray, kitty 8-

She is made of a woven wool fabric- maybe from a coat or something. Her skirt is reproduction 30’s (I think) fabric with little bunnies on it. Her sweater is a recycled wool sweater, embroidered with wool. Here is a closer look-

Kitty 9 is made from a soft woven wool from my Mom’s stuff. I sort of remember that she had made herself a suit from it. It feels really nice and is tightly woven- beautiful to sew.

His jacket is made from a wool/angora blend sweater- I made one of the sweater babies out of it too. I lined it with a plaid cotton. Wool felt scarf and messenger bag.

It is probably obvious how different these two cats are- as I said earlier, I’ve been tweaking the pattern.
