Last one for now. I only dyed enough green bodies for 4 and it’ll be a while before I pull out the dye pots again. Also, I will have to keep my eye out for foliage heavy toile designs.
Green Man 3
This is a big man green man. A friend said he was the end-of-Summer Green Man. I liked that.
My neighbor walked by when I was taking pics. I made her pose for me because that perfect purple jacket! And, now you can see the scale, relative to a person.
And, he is #100 doll of 2016!
November news
I’m not very good at starting a newsletter but this monthly news post is working for me. Things are very busy around here!
I have been wanting to announce my latest ornaments for West Elm but didn’t want to do it before Halloween- that just seemed wrong. This year’s ornaments are a sweet Owl family! I can’t seem to find a way to link to the whole family but here is a link to the mama owl and you can go from there. And here is the baby-
If you happen to be in the Boston area, there are several places that you will be able to see my work in the next few months. Today I dropped off a few pieces at Room 83 Spring in Watertown, MA.
Then, on November 26, I will be part of a pop-up shop at GreyMist Shop and Studio in Cambridge, MA. I will be there with my friend Jen of ZooGuu, from 10- 4pm.
Lastly, I will be at CraftBoston Holiday, Dec 1, 2, and 3-
It will be a very exciting next 2 months! Now, back to work for me.

Green Man 2
I got such a great reception for the first fellow, I decided to finish up Mr. #2 here.
I had fun with his vine-y belt, using several different variegated green colorways that I have in my embroidery threads collection.
tattooed man, day of the dead again
Thinking up new and original titles for these posts is not a skill that I possess. Anyway, another handsome man for October-
His beard and hair are brown with black dots.
It can be a challenge to pick which image goes on the front and which on the back when I’m working with such perfectly amazing fabric!

Green Man
I love the idea of the Green Man. I’ve played around with the idea before with these green man tikis. I know that lots of people will look at him and think, Jolly Green Giant, but no, he’s a green man and I am sticking to that!
I loved using this variegated pearl cotton for embroidering his belt and I even found a leaf button! I used more of the variegated thread for his boot laces.

Craftcation: Business + Makers Conference is an annual four-day event featuring industry professionals leading attendees in hands-on DIY workshops and creative business classes.
Have you ever thought to yourself…
- I’d love to take a vacation while making things with awesome people.
- I have a great idea for a business that I want to turn into my full-time job but I don’t know where to start.
- I have a successful business and I’m ready to take it to the next level but I’m not sure how.
- I want to make meaningful connections with people in my field but I don’t have the time or opportunity to make it happen.
Craftcation is the place where you can make it happen!
If you’re a maker, blogger or creative business owner then join me for four inspiring days that you’ll never forget. Craftcation has over 80 hands-on workshops and business classes so whether you’re coming to craft, grow your business or a little bit of both, there’s lots of making, meeting and learning in store for you.
Craftcation takes place April 27-30, 2017, in the beach town of Ventura, California, (about an hour north of Los Angeles). Craftcation utilizes Ventura’s historic downtown buildings and businesses as well as the beach for special events like networking meet & greets, cocktail socials, a pop-up shop, opening celebration, yoga, as well as food and art tours.
Registration opens 10.13.16 and the first 50 people to register get $50 off!
This is why I think you should come–
