I am behind in posting all the dolls that ended up in Brooklyn with me. I am posting this fellow today and I will post about the NY trip soon. I am working on getting all the new dolls (that didn’t sell) into my Etsy shop but it will probably be a trickle all week. I got back home last night and my to-do list is enormous.
I finished this doll in the hotel on Friday. He was mostly done and I couldn’t bear to leave him behind.
And here he is, hanging up in the booth-
but this one is fully dressed.

I gave her a silk cover bow for modesty, but she doesn’t look very modest to me. It is for other peoples’ modesty.
She’s got a bob and a silk hair bow.
I got my friend to pose for me. She liked this one best-
I am partial to this one-
She is a dark lady and the fabric details just don’t show up. The hair is black with brown swirls. The bra top is a batik fabric- black with gray dots. The bow is all black and all silk.
I’ll be working hard all weekend. We’ve decided to head down to New York around mid-week and spend a few days on each side of the Renegade Market, having fun in New York. That, of course, means I will have to stop working earlier that I might have otherwise… a good thing I’m sure.
I love this toile- it is a reproduction from Colonial Williamsburg.
It has George Washington and muses and medallions and all kinds of fun details.
