The gangs all here!
I am furiously trying to get ready for Paradise City in Marlborough, MA this weekend. I have one more dog in the works but I made him some accessories out of Model Magic and I had to wait for them to dry. It will be a few more days before I get pics. So, here are some new owls-
I made this pup in March 2019 but have never been quite satisfied with her. Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what was bothering me.
Her jacket didn’t fit right so I made her a soft cashmere sweater. I never liked the hat so that’s gone. And I added a shawl.
Also, I’ve changed her eyes. Much better now!
I still love the doggie dress.
A curly-haired poodle girl, in a fancy winter sweater and scarf- it’s getting cold around here!
She has a little short tail. And here is a close-up of the white wool boucle fabric-
All her stuff. I’m not sure if you can tell from the photo; her backpack is dark red.
This fine fellow was lots of fun to make.
Here he is with all his things-
He’s got a tie so he will look professional and a vest to keep warm during the investigations. Then there is a corduroy jacket with pockets to store all his detecting tools.
He has a magnifying glass, a notebook and pencil to write down clues, a map to get around the city, and a handkerchief to wipe his brow when he has to think really hard.
Here is a close-up of his vest and tie.
I finally have something finished! What we’ve got here is a shaggy-haired dog in his gardening togs.
He is an expert gardener with years of dirty-paw experience. These fall days are getting chilly so he has his cashmere hat-
And fair isle sweater vest.
His garden bag holds some of his tools and some of his harvest.
These 2 are on the purple-y side of red.
Herringbone and more herringbone- perfect for some fish pillows!
Wool sweater and cashmere.
Bold patterns on these two.
A red sweater fish-
and a fancy houndstooth fish.
Happy Halloween! More fish, green ones this time.
The top green fish has a knitted head and tail, cashmere body and fins. The top fin is alpaca.
The bottom fish is all knit wool sweaters. That usually works out fine because knits stretch similarly, but as you can see on this fine fish, they are shaped a little oddly :-)
That is because the fair isle section of the sweater felted up more tightly than any other parts, ie no stretch. When I stuffed this fish, it was like they had a belt on!
A blue sweater fish…
And a blue (actually a very dark teal blue) fish made from coat fabrics.
