2 posts in one day- CRAZY! But, I’m still behind and I like to post things here before I put them in my Etsy shop.
I could iron his ears down but I like them looking so enthusiastic.
Yeah-
I loved the look of a fly-away tie so I sewed it down that way!
He has a tweedy herringbone body, a plaid Pendleton shirt and a mustard colored tie.
His ears are super-soft angora.
It was great fun to get out of the studio and go down to Washington for a few days. Here we are, packing the last few things to go in the car, early Friday morning. Yes, I’ll be posting photos of all those dolls soon!
Our big excitement on the trip down-
We drive a 1997 Honda Civic so it’s about time! Here is my booth on Saturday morning-
And look who showed up on Sunday- Betz! We’ve been internet friends for years and finally met in real life!
I am back from Washington DC and will continue to post all the pieces that I didn’t get to show you before I left. Some of them found new families and some will go into my Etsy shop in the next few days.
This sweet little girl fox and her owl toy went off to live in Asheville, NC.
She has a book in her other pocket. Her coat has some wonderful antique buttons that I bought at the Sturbridge Vintage and Antique Textile show in May. She has a silk ribbon at her ear.
Her dress is Liberty and perfect for a dressed-up forest girl.
I am working like crazy, getting ready for Crafty Bastards next weekend in Washington, DC. As a result, I’ve gotten behind on posting the finished pieces. Here is a sweet girl fox- Liberty of London lawn dress and soft baby wale corduroy jacket. I love the little brass buttons on her jacket.
I think that you can still get discounted tickets to the market next weekend if you click through on that link at the top of the post.
